What’s Stopping YOU?
The definition of an excuse is a well-planned lie. It is a growing epidemic and the number one cause of failure, yet we continue to pass it down to our children. Something so minute, so small and yet we do not even realize that we are being held captive by this one word.
Held captive, in bondage, wrapped in chains, chains around our eyes, chains around our mouth, chains around our ears, our neck, our arms, our legs, our feet-chains wrapped around our entire being.
We live like this every second of every day, teaching our children to have reasons instead of results. They need strong examples of leadership and we give them excuses to continue to live a life of failure.
Why? We are all able bodied people with 24 hours in a day. We are all given a chance to do something with our lives, yet here we are…settling for less. We have given up and settled for mediocrity.
We argue and defend our “reasons” instead of propelling ourselves forward to get results. Most of us have been so conditioned to believe our excuses instead of finding the will to find the way to get out of the situation that we’re in.
We live in “Why not”, “If only”, “I wish I would have”, “I wish I could have” land; a land full of diseased thoughts. Here we wallow in hopelessness, despair, apathy, self-pity and self-hate.
Afraid to hope, afraid to dream, afraid to live.
Why do we settle for less in a comfort zone that really is not comfortable?
Have you ever wondered what it is like on the other side? On the other side of mediocrity? Where we choose to step up in faith. We choose to step up and out of our rut.
Where we choose to do something better with our lives. Where we choose success instead of failure. Because we do have a choice!
We can choose to live our life as though we do not have tomorrow. As though tomorrow did not exist. God gave us the ability to change.
We can instill in us that determination that we once possessed as children, that persistence of not giving up until we get what we want, see and feel.
That commitment is going to be what takes us out of where we are right now. It’s going to take us out of this so-called facade of a comfort zone and have us rise up above it to see what life is truly like to live.
To live it to the fullest each and every day instead of giving into doubt, giving up to unbelief, giving in to circumstances. Because we can never buy back yesterday. We can only fully maximize today!
So the question is, are you fully maximizing today?
Are you going to fully maximize tomorrow?
Are you going to rise up out of those circumstances and find a way to make it happen at all costs without giving up?
Are you going to give it your absolute best shot, because your best is good enough?
This is what our children need to see. This is what our communities need to see. A people, a chosen generation to rise up, to rise up and out of apathy, to rise up of no vision.
To step out and go forward and do what many have done before us. Can you imagine giving your children this gift?
My mother gave me this gift when she refused to let drug addiction control her life. Because there is going to be a day that your last breath is taken.
Do you want to look back before that breath is taken and feel fully satisfied that you gave it your best, you gave it your all to live your life the way you wanted to?
My mother passed two months after she made her decision to truly live.
When will you decide to live?
This is Brandi Magill signing off, I hope you all enjoy your weekend!
Self Improvement | Comments (7)What is More Important than Eating Right?
Did you know 87% of disease can be linked to thought life and only 13% is traceable to food, genetics and environmental influences?
While I consider myself moderately healthy, after working several years with spinal cord and brain injury patients, I realized how important it was to have a happy heart, a clean mind, right thoughts and then ….eat right.
I bared witness to life changing events, events that left people living by different means. Events that should have ended their lives, but miraculously didn’t. Some of my patients were injured and left paralyzed by car accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycling, skiing, diving and even mosquito bites.
Yes several of my patients were paralyzed from the neck down due to a mosquito bite! One of my favorite patients whom I became very close with was injured pushing a lawn mower, tripped and fell breaking her spinal cord. Pretty unbelievable, no?
While I was in the midst of tragedy, I had my most treasured laughs. You see all of these people had the heart of lions. They didn’t let their accident take over their emotions. They excepted their new life and embraced it with gratitude. Watching them, empowered me to do the same.
We put a handicap on those who do not walk like us, talk like us, see like us and think like us, yet those who we consider “normal” are the ones crippled by their emotions. They make up 98% of the population whom are taken hostage by themselves and their thoughts!
I made many lasting friendships from Hawaii to Europe. I was invited to move to Kauai with a family as well as flown to Olathe, Kansas to train a family’s new staff. It was a privilege and honor to work amongst such extraordinary human beings.
So the next time you eat right~be sure you are the 2% that is also feeding your mind and soul the nutrition it needs!
God Bless!

“How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something, but to be someone”~Coco Chanel.
When I started in the home based business industry almost two years ago, I was under the impression that I had to talk the talk and walk the walk of a sales professional. Well, guess what? I tried it for 8 months and it didn’t work!!! As I said before, I am by far a sales woman!
During a Dani Johnson training I was told to be myself. I thought yeah right, I am not a professional, I have no college degree, no credentials…I can’t be myself! But with nothing to lose I figured I would try it, after all I felt I was pretty good at rehabbing people, showing them the light at the end of the tunnel…being myself!
At that moment I decided to build my business like I was still rehabbing patients, instead of rehabbing my patients to better health through physical therapy, I rehabbed them to better health through Uri’s whole food nutritional products and by providing them with useful information!
I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders when I stopped selling, stopped acting like a networker and just submitted to my inner Brandi.
The Brandi that enjoys to make people laugh, that has no credentials, no college education, who can’t spell if her life depended on it, who’s kids are the reason why she is proud of her accomplishments and her ability to live by her own rules!
Cheers to Being You!

“One great source of failure is found in a lack of concentration of purpose. There will be adverse winds in every voyage, but the able seaman firmly resists their influence, while h takes advantage of every favorable breeze to speed him on his course. so in our aims and pursuits we shall find much to counteract them, much to draw our attention from them, and, unless we are armed with a steadfast purpose, that can subordinate the lesser to the greater, that can repel hindrances, resist attractions, and, bend circumstances to our will, our efforts will not be crowned with success.”~ Unknown
The last few days have been spent in deep thought, yeah I do find a few spare moments in the day to think sometimes, lol!
What have I been thinking about?
All that I have given up in life, not that I am by any means regretful for the decisions I have made, but more for the fact that I have come to the realization that it is never too late to become what you might have been. While the timing has never permitted me to do so, it has been a life-long dream to become a teacher.
The last few days, I have thought to myself WHY NOT?
Why can’t I go back to school, sure it will be difficult returning after 7 long years. Yes, it will be time consuming. And now with two young children in tow, you bet it will be hectic. I will be making more with Urilife than I would as a teacher, and yes I am scared to death of failing!
None of that Matters.
I am determined to do this, to prove to myself that I can do this! I will no longer let fear stop me from growing to be the person I have always dreamed of becoming. I will not fail, why?
Because failure is that of an illusion. You can only fail unless you stop trying. As long as you have faith, you can conquer any obstacle…even education for that matter! Your faith is your greatest weapon against adversity, and with faith comes persistence.
When you embrace obstacles instead of giving in to them, you reaffirm that life is precious and worth fighting for. You can’t let the fear of failure stand in your way from growing!!!
Is there anything you have put off for fear of failure?
Cheers to Education!

Business, Personal Growth, Self Improvement, Uncategorized | Comments (5)Exercise Less, Smile More!
Huh? Yes, you read that right! While it takes fewer muscles to laugh or smile than it does to frown, it has been well documented that both are not only fun, but also play an important in your maintaining optimal health!
My mom always told me to stick with a man that could make me laugh over one that was pleasing to the eye! Of course in my teens I thought she had a screw loose, but now I am forever grateful for her wise words.
Let’s face it life sucks sometimes, and well, sometimes you just need to drink The Feast and have a good laugh to make it through the day! While Urilife’s The Feast tastes great, research shows that laughter actually protects the heart. When we are stressed, the endothelium (protective layer in our blood vessels) decreases, allowing cholesterol to build up in our arteries.
Laughter can lower the risk of this hardening of the arteries. It has also been linked to lowering the risk of diabetes, increase antibodies to help fight disease and increase blood flow. Not to mention laughing 100 times is equivalent to 10 minutes on a rowing machine or treadmill!
Need I say more? It seems that we have many choices throughout the bulk of the day, but I believe our most important is our happiness. You can either be wrapped in bondage by negativity and stress or you can seek out the positive and humor in any given situation.
Flood your mind with thoughts that make you smile. And we all know how contagious a smile is so be sure to pass it on, so they too can achieve True Optimal Health:~)
Make it a Day to Remember!

In my opinion, our beliefs are the single most important gift God gave us. They determine our past, present and future. They are the one thing that holds us back and the one thing that keeps us going.
“If you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won’t, you most assuredly won’t. Belief is the ignition switch that gets you off the launching pad.”~Denis Waitley
I for one, had my beliefs so badly tainted as a child that I allowed them to take over my life and eventually I became hostage by my horrid images I had about myself.
Our belief about religion, money, family, work and ourselves all affect the person we are today. A friend of mine referred to it as a belief bucket. The truth of the matter is that each belief that we have goes hand in hand with the other.
While we may know what is right and wrong, we do not act on what we know, we act on what we believe.
Luckily God also granted us the ability to change our beliefs. Yes, we are 100% in control of our beliefs. In fact, our beliefs are probably the only thing in the world that we do have 100% control over.
How does one change our beliefs?
I for one, took a few steps back and with the help of some great mentors I was able to see my life in a different light. Once I realized what has been holding me back all these years, that whole in my stomach suddenly began to fill.
This is not enough to change them though. I also forgave those whom filled my belief bucket with rubbish. This included myself, as I am my own worst enemy.
The journey may be long and hard, something we may have to work at everyday, but when we think of what we will become, isn’t letting go worth becoming whole?
