Obecalp: No More Mommy will Kiss it Better…
…Now we have FAKE pills to soothe the aches and pains of childhood. I don’t know what is worse the fact that Obecalp (placebo spelled backwards) is going to be fueling tiny hypochondriacs nation wide next week or the fact that this sugar pill was actually created by a mom.
The pills, 50 tablets for $5.95, will be available next week on the Efficacy Brands website. Beyond the ridiculousness of paying for pills that don’t do anything, this “quick fix” for your child’s minor pains is teaching them how to be pill poppers.
As if we didn’t already live in a world full of prescription medication addicts lets teach the next generation to up the ante and reach something stronger too. Kids need to learn that real medication is given for real conditions.

I can only agree, Brandi.
I hate pharmaceuticals, had to take some for a disease, hope they helped, but still hate them.
Hoping my new learning of food as medicine will keep me healthy the rest of my life…

this is really scary and makes me feel ill. I don’t have much else to say about it, but that it reminds me of the time my sister gave her kid benadryl so he would settle down and go to sleep.
I am also a Mom who is launching a product in response to my little guy’s request for medicine for his aches. It works for us without a pill.

medicine is a need, as many people do need certain substances to correct major issues or assist in helping one’s life prevail, but to ‘teach’ kids… a starter kit for pills??!!!?? …arrrgghhh…
The U.S. is only and ever & anymore solely operated by the many major conglomerate billions -o- $$ companies and lobbying organizations… Oil/Autos to Tobacco, mixed with Pharmaceuticals, Lawyers and Insurance as well as any major Food provider (chocked w/’roids and other nasty stimulants) … and it is even more disturbing when people whom i know need at least a single visit to a doctor, a check-up, and cannot even get that due to costs and insurance.
